What’s the change? Development and test environments (Functional test or Gold configuration, classified in the category Develop and Test in Lifecycle Services), can now be provisioned to use the DS12V2. This is applicable both for On-Premise and Cloud Editions of Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. This is required because of the extensive tests and code that we are running on our development and test machines. Refer to the link below that provides more insights about this capability.
