Report with Security Roles, Users Assigned Duties, Privileges and the Required Tables

Often in many Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations implementation projects, there is a question that system administrators usually come up with a question asking about the list of reports for Security Roles, the assigned users, the privileges and duties assigned to those users and the back end tables that are secured through those roles (ideally a report or an Excel extract etc.).

Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations Security Role reports:

In Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, there are some standard reports available through which we can get the list of security roles, the relevant users assigned to those security roles and the duties and privileges associated with those security roles. In addition to this, there are some other reports, too, that highlight the list of tables that are associated with those security roles. In the inquiries section under the System Administration module, there is a section called Security roles.

System Administration -> Inquiries -> Security

Reports List:

1.  User role assignments (Gives us the list of users and the relevant roles assigned to that user).

2.  Role to user assignment (This gives the list of roles and the users assigned to those roles)

3.   Security duty assignments (Gives the list of duties assigned to a security role):
