Error On Rotate SSL Certificates in Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services

Rotate SSL Certificates in Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services

In this post, I will highlight about the “Rotate SSL Certificates” in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations one-box environments that are under a subscription. This is a feature available under Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services. Rotate SSL Certificate sets up a certificate that allows users to use Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations & Dynamics 365 for Retail without any certificate errors.

Rotate SSL Certificates in Lifecycle Services:

To rotate the certificates, follow the steps highlighted below:

  1. In Lifecycle Services, go to Lifecycle Services and under projects navigate to Cloud Hosted Environments.

       2. In the Cloud Hosted Environments section -> Maintain -> Rotate Secrets.

On applying the certificate if the issue persists, instead of re-applying the certificate again, restart the machine on which the certificate This will setup the certificate and you won’t see the message again.

       3.  To check if the certificate is installed, select the AOSService website and then select Bindings in the Action Pane. On the Site Bindings, select Edit and in the Edit Site Binding window, Select view and the certificate will open. Check the certificate validity, and the validity date. In this case, the validity date is set to 4/12/2020 which means the certificate setup worked.
