In the Cloud Edition, the Microsoft Azure platform and services are abstracted from the partner and the customer using Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, On-Premise Edition:
Following is a sample topology for the On-Premise Edition of Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. In case of the On-Premise Edition, the Microsoft Azure platform and the relevant services used to host Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations application is visible to the customer and the partner. An Azure connector will be required that connects the Azure subscription with the Microsoft Lifecycle Services and to enable Microsoft-DynamicswsfedEnabled service to publish the Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations services and virtual machine to Microsoft Azure.
